Nilai-Nilai Tauhid dalam Kisah Nabi Ibrahim A.S. serta Relevansinya dengan Kehidupan Modern

Abstract

Tawhid is the fundamental principle of Islamic teachings that shapes faith, spirituality, and human behavior. Amid the developments of the modern era, marked by moral crises, materialism, and the weakening of spiritual values, strengthening tawhid has become crucial. This study employs a library research method with a thematic exegesis (maudhū‘ī) approach, which involves compiling Qur’anic verses related to the story of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him). The findings reveal that the story of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) embodies the values of Tawhid al-Rububiyah, Tawhid al-Uluhiyah, and Tawhid al-Asma’ wa al-Sifat. These values are evident in Prophet Ibrahim’s journey as he sought the true God, rejected idol worship, faced the trial of being burned alive, and received the command to sacrifice Prophet Ismail (peace be upon him). This story teaches steadfastness in faith, obedience, tawakal (trust in God), and patience in carrying out the commands of Allah SWT. The values of Tawhid in the story of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) are also relevan to modern life as a guide for maintaining faith, strengthening spirituality, and fostering good character amidst the challenges of the changing times.
