This study aims to examine Yusuf al-Qaradawi’s thought on the relationship between faith and life and to analyze it from the perspective of New Kalam Theology. The study is motivated by the challenges of modernization, which have given rise to materialistic tendencies that regard material aspects as the primary measure of progress, thereby marginalizing religious and spiritual values. This research employs a library research method with a qualitative approach. The primary data were obtained from Yusuf al-Qaradawi’s book Al-Iman wa al-Hayah (Faith and Life) and analyzed using content analysis. The findings reveal that al-Qaradawi’s thought in Al-Iman wa al-Hayah reflects the characteristics of New Kalam Theology in terms of its objectives, methods, and subject matter. Al-Qaradawi views faith not merely as knowledge or verbal affirmation, but as firm conviction, heartfelt submission, and practical commitment manifested in daily life. Faith plays an essential role in fostering inner peace, happiness, and human dignity, while also encouraging the development of a moral, productive, and socially responsible society. Furthermore, he criticizes materialistic views that separate human progress from the values of faith and religion. This study concludes that al-Qaradawi’s thought constitutes a significant contribution to the development of New Kalam Theology and remains relevant to the challenges of modern life.
